A diabetes-friendly breakfast is one that includes a combination of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats in the right proportions, which helps balance blood sugar.
Breakfast is especially important for someone who has diabetes, because it helps control blood sugar for the rest of the day. Skipping meals can create blood sugar fluctuations and extreme hunger cravings, which then lead to overeating at meals and high blood sugars.
Here are few healthy breakfast ideas
1. Curry with chapatti
You can have any curry cooked in healthy fats like avocado oil, olive oil or any nutty oil. Chapatti shouldn’t be bigger than 6”
2. Boiled egg whites
Two boiled egg whites with an apple and a slice of whole wheat bread or bran bread
3. Nutty butter with fruit
Any French toast made without sugar can be taken. Topped with any nutty butter like peanut butter or almond butter, served with strawberries or bananas and at the end sprinkled with chia seeds
4. Vegetable omelette
Make omelette with vegetables like spinach, spring onions and tomatoes. Take one slice of brown bread
5. Poached eggs with apple
Make poached egg and take one slice of brown bread along with an apple
6. Chicken kebab
If your are bored of eggs take one chicken kebab and a slice of brown bread
7. Tortillas wrap
Make tortilla wrap with egg and cheese using salsa
The recipe is available on my channel
8. Porridge
Make porridge without sugar. Serve it with warm milk and almonds. If you are not diabetic add a little honey. And sprinkle some flax seeds
9. Avocado and egg
The most creamy green fruit avocado, the most hearty friendly along with egg is best for weight loss too. Add a little lemon sprinkle some salt and pepper. A simple diabetes-friendly breakfast recommended is a plate of eggs and avocado on whole-grain toast.
10. Egg white omelette

The key is to eat by calorie counting. Eat healthy, walk every day and use healthy fats.

Summary:
1. Mac And Cheese
Starting off with the ultimate American comfort food, macaroni and cheese doesn’t just fill your heart but also your soul. Diabetics are recommended to avoid this because of the high salt content which makes the heart race at unhealthy levels. However, the healthier version of mac and cheese uses somewhat different ingredients without compromising taste.
2. Meatloaf
Meatloaf might have dipped in popularity but we can’t deny the fact this delicious dish is a comfort food for many Americans! With the world turning to healthier versions of literally everything, why should meatloaf be left behind?
3. Veggie Chili
Nothing beats a steaming hot bowl of veggie chili. Not only is it soul food, it’s loaded with vegetables which offer fiber and deliciousness that makes a hearty meal for the whole family. It is also a great weight loss meal because of all the protein and good fat.
4. Tacos
Wait…I don’t have to give up on tacos? Sweet! This healthy, low carb taco will come as a good news for every diabetic taco lover. Tacos have been called the worst food imaginable for diabetics. The saturated fat in meat raises cholesterol and promotes inflammation which puts diabetics at a risk of heart disease.
