Good advice on reducing sugar and eating healthy foods. High blood pressure is usually caused by Insulin Resistance. You might have this decades before your blood glucose level increases to a point where it is diagnosed. Following a LCHF diet and intermittent fasting can rapidly fix the problem. Skipping breakfast is a fast and effective way of reversing IR when combined with a healthy diet. See Dr Sten Ekberg for some outstanding advice on metabolic health.

Avoid grains, cut all sugars, including fruits, as much as possible, avoid oils derived from seeds completely, eat green leafy vegetables sparingly. Eat little to no carbohydrates. Avoid ALL processed foods. Focus on animal fats and proteins. Meat, butter and eggs should make up your principal diet, if you are interested in a healthy heart. Salt is not an enemy, use it to season your meat and eggs. It's good for you.
