Radish/Mooli Sabzi:
Radish: 500 gms, cubed
Oil: 1 tsp
Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder: 3/4 tbsp
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste and coriander leaves to garnish.
Method:
Heat oil and add in cumin seeds.
Add in chilli powder and switch off the flame or else chilli powder will get burnt. Then add in the chopped mooli mix well.
If the mooli is very tender it will release water else add little water and cover and cook. Add salt.
Once cooked sprinkle coriander leaves on top.
Serve with roti. Left over can be used the next day

Idli upma:
2 cold idlis: Simply crumble with hands
Oil: 1-1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
Jeera: 1/4 tsp
Urad dal: 1 tsp
Bengal gram dal: 1 tsp
Whole red chilies: 2, broken
Raw peanuts: 1-2 tbsp
Green chilies: 2, chopped
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Onion: 1/2, chopped
Ginger: 1/2 tsp, grated.
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut: 1 tsp (optional)
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard seeds, jeera, urad, and bengal gram. Add in whole chilies and peanuts. Fry for 2 mins on low flame so that the peanuts are roasted.
Add in green chilies, onion, ginger, curry leaves and mix for a minute.
Add in turmeric powder. Add grated coconut if adding.
Crumble idli with your hands and add add and mix well for a minute or two. Serve hot.

low fat curd: 3-4 tbsp
Ground flax seeds: 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder: a fat pinch

Mix all and serve.

Wash potateo, chop into wedges, season, spray pan with non stick spray, heat oven to 425 f, bake fries 35 min , flipping at 20 min. Comes out to like 110 cals for one potateo worth of fries.

I need to thank my strict parents for my weight loss. November 2020 -> September 2021 : 21 kg lost.
My mom had to do a lot of housework, despite my sister (23) and myself (19) helping as much we could. My dad got angry because we weren't "doing enough". So he made a new rule : from this day onward, we had to cook our own meals. My grandma got angry because she found it cruel, but my dad simply didn't care.
They cooked and ate their own food, and it didn't matter what we ate or IF we even ate anything. He simply "stopped caring", as he said. At first, I got depressed and upset, and I just stopped eating any real meal. I would just eat fruits, yoghurts, raw tomatoes, canned tuna…anything I could find. I didn't know how to cook, and wasn't in the mood for it anyway.
Results of me not eating well enough for months ? I lost 20 kgs. I went from being angry at them, to saying thanks, I guess, I finally lost weight after years of trying.
It wasn't good for my mental health, but at least I'm back in shape…
So now I'm trying to eat healthy and exercise. Gotta make the best of it, I guess.
