POV Your New Trainer Assumes Everyone Wants to Lose Weight
weight loss January 11th. 2024, 1:38pm
As I always say, you’re allowed to want to lose body fat. But be wary of coaches who try to push fat loss on you at all costs and don’t properly listen to what it is you want to achieve. Unfortunately, trainers pushing their desires and preferences onto you without taking your actual needs into consideration is all too common.
Just because you’re stepping in the gym doesn’t mean you’re trying to change your body. It’s fine if you do, but it’s also more than okay if you don’t.

Its just the market, lots of women gym to maintain their looks/ get the looks they want, no woman is putting up a list of their PBs at the gym as the main pic on dating apps, it's all about body shape and appearance not strength.

Complaining doesn’t make you lose weight

I hope you know once you start gaining muscle. You will start losing fat. Therefore, you are going to lose weight if you build your muscles or is your trainer fat phobic lol. You don’t actually gain muscle weight until you have lost fat. I understand you want to build muscles but with you working out you’re gonna lose weight I don’t see why you’re so pressed.

Yea, we don’t all want to be that trainer’s size. Yay, strength! I was that size at age 12.

i have PCOS so i genuinely can’t lose weight without starving (trust me i’ve tried, the only thing that worked was such a calorie deficit that i couldn’t get enough nutrition or have proper brain/organ function and so much exercise i couldn’t fit it into my schedule long term, it was still very slow and hit a plateau i couldnt get past without dropping my food intake to zero, and unfortunately even fat people need to eat sometimes lol, and i was already dizzy as fuck) but recently i realized i can still have fitness goals and be strong and healthy! this is just how my body is 🙂 most people don’t understand that though so it’s super hard to find supportive environments for people like me 🙁

I would actually walk out if I hired a trainer and they said ALL OF THAT 😭😭
January 11th, 2024 at 17:41
I swear this is some people and I’m tired of idiots like that
January 11th, 2024 at 18:26
Personally imma put you on the bulk and heavy training plan 💪💪💪

To be fair it’s hard to do 5 real pull ups if you’re not lean. The very best bodybuilders sure as hell can’t do it. But i bet your local skinny kid can do 5-10 with decent ease.

Just go to a frikin gym if you want to have that squat! Trainers are meant for weight loss.
January 11th, 2024 at 19:18
Weight loss is a biproduct not the reason to work out
January 11th, 2024 at 19:51
Okay fair enough if you want to focus on strength and not on weight loss but if you're fat you're fat and you need to lose weight
January 11th, 2024 at 20:49
Ngl I need that trainere
January 11th, 2024 at 21:33
Ok sorry for being off topic but 30 lbs in 12 weeks?!
January 11th, 2024 at 22:24
Obviously a trainer should cater to the needs of the person paying them but one of the steps to doing bodyweight pull-ups is to lose some weight. If your 400 lb not doing anybody body weight Pull-Ups. If you're a female over 200 you better be jacked with a low bmi or not getting it done either.
Basically the chick is asking the trainer to do an impossible task. Get me to do pull ups without following the steps to get me to do pull ups cause im sensitive

Yeah but you’re obese dude you can do those things without being overweight, and look good while doing it. The most important thing is always gonna be staying fit. I mean I think most of us enjoy weights more but in terms of actual health benefits cardio and clean nutrition far outshines them.

They are probably suggesting that because you need to lose weight.

That girl could really do with the weight loss first. Cut and then gain muscle at the same time.
