This is what is called the double burden of malnutrition which impacts not only our health but also that of future generations, the health of our planet and our economies.<\/p>\n

\nGallstones<\/p>\n

Gallstones refer to stones or lumps formed in our gallbladder or the bile duct. Sometimes, elements in the bile fluid such as cholesterol, calcium bilirubinate and calcium carbonate solidify to form one big or several small stones.

\u2022 Nausea, vomiting, pain & fever<\/p>\n

Food groups to consume in eczema:<\/p>\n

1. Low fat: Holds contraction of gall bladder muscles<\/p>\n

Foods to consume: Apples, pears, oranges, papaya, dates, figs as well as raw salads such as cucumbers, carrots, beetroot and cabbage. Also, have pulses like kidney beans, green gram (moong), horse gram & whole grains such as oats, brown rice and millets<\/p>\n

Recipes based on the above food groups:<\/p>\n

Recipe 1: Horse gram salad<\/p>\n

1. Soak \u00bd cup horse gram (black chana) over night
\n2. Wash and add 2 cups of water to it and pressure cook it until
\n 3-4 whistles
\n3. Take the boiled horse gram (black chana) in a bowl
\n4. Chop \u00bd an onion
\n5. Chop \u00bd a tomato. Add this to the gram
\n6. Now chop \u00bd cucumber & add it to the mixture
\n7. For seasoning, add 2 tsp lemon juice, some salt & chaat
\n masala
\n8. Chaat masala is a blend of dried raw mango powder and
\n some other spices. It has a tangy taste
\n9. Finally, garnish the salad with chopped coriander leaves and
\n serve<\/p>\n

Recipe 2: Kidney bean rice<\/p>\n

1. Soak 1\/2 cup kidney bean overnight
\n2. Wash and add 2 cups of water and pressure cook it until 2-3
\n whistles
\n3. Heat 2 tsp olive oil in a deep pan
\n4. Add 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
\n5. Chop one medium onion and add
\n6. Also add 2 finely chopped tomato and let it cook for 5 min
\n7. Now dice \u00bd red bell pepper, \u00bd zucchini and one stalk of
\n celery and add it to the pan.
\n8. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 10 min
\n9. Stir and add the boiled kidney beans
\n10. Add 1 tsp of oregano and 1 tsp of dried basil
\n11. Now add 2 tsp black pepper powder and 1 tbsp tomato
\n ketchup
\n12. Add 1 cup of boiled rice, salt to taste and stir well
\n13. Cover and let it cook for 8-10 min
\n14. Then add finely chopped coriander leaves
\n15. Stir and serve hot<\/p>\n

\u2022 Avoid red meat, butter, margarine, fried foods, soft drinks,
\n chocolates & refined food
\n\u2022 Eat small meals at regular intervals<\/p>\n
